Leslie Davis
Board Member

Leslie Davis is a Registered Nurse and Ryerson University BScN graduate, born and raised in Kitchener-Waterloo. Growing up, she was actively involved in the Caribbean Association, participating in cultural dance and theatre. Leslie has spent 20 years working in the surgical unit at Grand River Hospital (GRH), where she has recently contributed to advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion through HPAR Canada. As a group lead, she helped develop the HPAR website, volunteered at COVID-19 swab pop-up clinics, and contributed to the Black History Month working group at GRH. She is currently completing the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Certificate through the University of South Florida Muma College. Leslie looks forward to contributing her knowledge, experience, and passion to AFRO to help people of colour achieve success.

Kinzi Ahmed
Board Member

She is a proud mom and Community Advocate who has worked with AFRO for the past three years in various capacities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she took on many roles to better support the leadership team as the organization adapted the way it delivered services. As a new Board member, she is excited for the opportunity to be part of the decision-making process.

Nasir Salih
Board Member

She is a Youth Leader and Board Member at AFRO. Growing up with immigrant parents, the importance of community and connection was an integral part of her upbringing. AFRO has given her a platform to give back to her community and other minority communities at large. She is forever grateful to AFRO for the doors they have opened for future generations to thrive and succeed.

Dorcas Ndiangui
Board Member

Dorcas Ndiangui is a registered nurse and Ryerson University BScN graduate, born and raised in Kitchener-Waterloo.
